What does being a part of the ensemble mean?

Ensemble members can propose projects at newcityplayers.org/proposals.
Ensemble members can nominate and vote on new ensemble members in Slack or at company meetings. Artists who are humble, hungry, and smart. New ensemble members must be approved by unanimous vote by all present.
Ensemble members attend company meetings as often as they can and participate in activities that move the company forward.
Ensemble members attend load-in and strike days when their schedule permits.
Ensemble members attend NCP events when their schedule permits.
Ensemble members advocate for NCP in their life and online.
Ensemble members go to each other’s work!
Ensemble members respond promptly to communications (slack, email) even if just to acknowledge reception (e.g. thumbs up)
Ensemble members don’t have to audition, they are automatically invited to callbacks.
Ensemble members are encouraged to share with the artistic director(s) about their interest in a particular role.
Directors are looking to ensemble members first for roles and artistic directors may precast roles from within the ensemble.
Being an ensemble member does not guarantee you a role.
